The Kalshi prediction market posted a pre-built sports parlay for the first time on Thursday night as it continues to look and act like a sportsbook.
As has been the case with all of Kalshi’s expanding sports event contract markets, the company self-certified the parlay for the Dallas-Philadelphia NFL opener, after posting a request for tacit approval of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) earlier this week. Past the 24-hour window for the CFTC to deny the request, Kalshi proceeded. The CFTC has largely allowed Kalshi to do as it pleases since it began posting sports events contracts in February.
Kalshi’s push to become a federally regulated national sportsbook has sparked debate and legal action from three states and tribal entities, but unchecked, it continues to expand. Its offerings are expanding, too.
With Polymarket set to debut legally in the United States after buying access through the QCEX exchange and gaining CFTC approval on Wednesday, and Robinhood announcing its foray into college football and NFL markets, Kalshi struck first again in time for the beginning of the lucrative NFL betting season.
The parlay was entered with the CFTC under the title “Will <outcomes> occur in <events>?”
The historic parlay: Dallas wins, over 47.5 points, and a CeeDee Lamb touchdown.

Dallas lost, the final score was 24-20, and CeeDee Lamb did not score.
The market attracted just $11,417 in volume.
Kalshi launches first player prop bets
Kalshi hit another first on Thursday night, launching a series of player props, for the first time allowing users to buy yes/no contracts — read: wager — on individual outcomes. These mimicked standard single-player, single-outcome prop bet fare at regulated sportsbooks, including whether certain players, notably the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley or Jalen Hurts, would score. The markets also included options for multiple or first touchdowns.
A Kalshi spokesperson told InGame that it has “no immediate plans” to offer prop bets on college football games.
Kalshi Chiefs-Chargers markets listed
Props and one parlay are already posted for the next game on the NFL schedule, Chiefs-Chargers in Sao Paolo, Brazil, including touchdown-scorers.
