New York’s eight mobile sportsbooks combined for $244.1 million in gross gaming revenue in April, a 26.7% increase over April 2025, according to figures released by the New York State Gaming Commission.

The jump in revenue came despite handle staying essentially flat in the year-over-year sample. Bettors wagered $2.17 billion across the eight operators, up just 0.6% from the $2.15 billion handled a year earlier. The statewide hold climbed to 11.3% in April, compared to 8.9% in April 2025.

The state collected $124.5 million in tax receipts for the month. It was the first month of New York’s 2026-2027 fiscal year, in which the allocation for problem gambling education and treatment is being doubled from $6 million annually to $12 million.
