Bet365 launched in its 19th U.S. jurisdiction Tuesday when it went live with legal sports betting in Washington, D.C., the company announced. The launch marks bet365’s second launch in less than two weeks — the company debuted its online sportsbook and online casino in West Virginia Aug. 27.
Last June, bet365 was live in 13 U.S. jurisdictions, but it has since added D.C., Kansas (August 2025), Maryland (August 2025), Missouri (December 2025), Michigan (April 2026), and West Virginia. The company also launched in Alberta in July when that market opened and is live in Ontario.
The U.K.-based operator has quickly become a competitive player, breaking into the top three in handle some months in a handful of legal sports betting states, including Kentucky, Ohio, and Missouri. The company made its U.S. debut in August 2019 in New Jersey.
Bet365 also revealed a new partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, owner of the NHL Washington Capitals, NBA Washington Wizards, and WNBA Washington Mystics. As part of the deal, bet365 will have a “year-round presence” with the teams and virtual signage will be incorporated into media broadcasts. Unique fan experiences are also part of the partnership.
New customers in Washington can take advantage of the company’s Bet $10, Get $50 in bonus bets offer and use its “Home of Winning Early” early cash-out feature on qualifying NBA, NHL, and WNBA bets.
DC now up to seven platforms
Just over two years ago, Washington, D.C. had a single live sports betting platform, but the DC Council in June 2024 approved a new budget that opened the market. Multiple commercial operators entered the market beginning July 15, 2024.
Bet365 joins fellow Sports Betting Alliance (SBA) members BetMGM, DraftKings, Fanatics Sportsbook, and FanDuel as well as Caesars Sportsbook and theScoreBet in D.C. Bet365 joined the SBA in June 2025 and was the alliance’s first new member since its inception in 2021.
Bet365’s online casino platform is live in four states — Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
